UNIT stands out for its elegant, functional design. Its steel uprights and wooden shelves form the foundation of an intuitive, exposed structure. UNIT is a modular shelving system built to last.
Available in heights of 180 or 215 cm, with or without storage, the UNIT tall shelving unit is ideal as a bookcase or for simple shelving.
The distinctive features of our system
UNIT consists of just a few components. For quick and easy assembly, the shelves clip onto the steel frame, eliminating the need for screws.
UNIT comes in two finishes: all steel for a monochrome, industrial look, or steel and wood for a warmer touch.
The UNIT system incorporates risers, adjustable levelling feet and visible pins that highlight the precise detailing of TIPTOE's designers.
The UNIT structure is held together by steel panels positioned between each ladder frame. Production is also 100% European.
Any questions about the UNIT system?
The UNIT system was designed for easy assembly.
The steel frame is reinforced with support bars that screw into place using an Allen key. The uprights feature positioning pins onto which the shelves easily clip.
A Phillips screwdriver is required to assemble additional components such as doors or drawers.
UNIT shelving units are designed to be freestanding.
However, for safety reasons, we recommend securing your shelving units to the wall if they exceed 110cm in height or include drawers and/or doors. Safety fittings (wall brackets) will be included in your order, but screws and wall plugs are not supplied. You will need to provide ones suitable for your wall.
Each shelf can support a maximum load of 30 kg evenly distributed across its entire surface.
We strongly advise against sitting on the shelves, as they are not designed for use as benches.
The UNIT shelving system is modular and can adapt to your needs over time.
